うちつづく【打ち続く】

〔継続する〕 continue; persist; go on 《for a long time》; 〔連続する〕 continue; happen [occur] repeatedly; happen time after time [and again]; occur [happen] in quick [rapid] succession. [⇒つづく]

●打ち続く長雨 a long spell of rainy weather

・打ち続く戦乱 continuous [perpetual] warfare

・打ち続く不幸 a series [succession, run] of misfortunes; misfortune after misfortune; one misfortune after another

・打ち続く災害 a succession of disasters; disaster after disaster.
